The SC Labor Licensing & Regulation Dept (www.llr.state.sc.us) consist of the following:

• The Division of Legal Services, which includes the Office of General Counsel and the Office of Investigations and Enforcement


• The Division of Fire and Life Safety, which includes the Office of State Fire Marshal and the S.C. Fire Academy


• The Division of Labor, which includes Elevator and Amusement Rides, Labor Services, Labor-Management Mediation, Migrant Labor, Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA), and OSHA Voluntary Programs (OVP)


• The Division of Professional and Occupational Licensing POL is responsible for licensing and regulating the activities of more than 139 professions and occupations with a license base of more than 234,000 individuals and businesses.
